Davit Usupashvili refused to participate in the work of Constitutional Commission

The composition of the commission is known. Davit Usupashvili has refused to participate in the work of the Constitutional Commission. The decision of the former speaker of parliament has recently become known.

Irakli Kobakhidze after closed consultations with the majority members confirmed that Irakli Kobakhidze offered Davit Usupashvili to get involved in the commission with the status of an expert-constitutionalist, but cooperation did not take place.

"His work in  the Commission  would be very valuable, but he explained that he could not participate in the work by political quota given the fact that there were specified criteria. Given the fact that he had a political past and present political, he could not have received this offer, "- said Irakli Kobakhidze.
