"Georgian men are not allowed into the bars in the area below the Rose Square" - Kvirikashvili ordered Minister of the Interior to clarify the issue

The Prime Minister spoke about facts of human rights` violations and discrimination in the country.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili said that the Georgian men were not allowed into the bars in the area below the Rose Square.

The Prime Minister asked the Interior Minister at today`s cabinet meeting to get interested in the issue and solve the problem as soon as possible.

"The thing is that this is a discriminatory approach. As far as I know, local men are not allowed in the premises and, unfortunately, only women are allowed to enter.

"We have received anti-discrimination law and I categorically demand form our country`s state agencies to solve this problem without raids or violence in full compliance with the law.

"I would also like to ask my assistant for human rights, Ms. Sophie Japaridze, to get interested in this issue and see whether these objects observe the law," -Kvirikashvili said.
