Georgian Speaker congratulates Ukrainien people on democratic elections

The Chairman of Parliament responded to the second tour of Presidential Elections held in Ukraine yesterday and congratulated Ukrainian people with the peaceful and stable elections.
`I would like to congratulate Ukrainian people on peaceful and stable conduct of elections. According to the existing data and statements of international observers and organizations, elections were held democratically and they corresponded to international standards’, he said at a bureau sitting.
David Bakradze noted that the official statement of the Central Electoral Commission was necessary for final evaluation of the vote. He expressed hope that friendly and strategic relations between Georgia and Ukraine would continue.
`I would express hope and belief on the stage that friendly relations and strategic partnership between Georgia and Ukraine will go on, as the basis for it is absolutely firm – it is our common interests, traditional friendship and good neighborhood, which always existed between our nations’, he said.
