Kardava is accused of organizing prisoners` torture and sexual abuse. The documents will be sent to court today, though the date of the hearing is yet unknown.
Megis Kardava is not in Georgia currently. His lawyer says the scandalous video, which was released by prosecutor`s office yesterday, is not inserted in the case yet. In addition, the defendant denies any connection with those facts.
United National Movement has already objected to the release of the videos. MP Irma Nadirashvili calls on the law enforcers to investigate crimes instead of performing TV shows.
Prosecutor`s office released videos of homosexuals yesterday and defined that under the instruction of Megis Kardava, the law enforcers used to win over homosexuals, who were assigned to impose contacts and record sexual scenes with famous figures in order to blackmail these persons afterwards and involve in various PR activities arranged by the previous government. The same videos were also used for extorting money from these persons. According to the prosecutor`s office, three senior officers of the military police were charged with misusing their duties and demanded their detention by the court, however, the court bailed them out after paying 20,000 GEL bail each.
