Secretary Clinton to visit Georgia on June 5
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will arrive in Georgia on June 5, 2012, within her Caucasian tour, the official website of the U.S. Department of State reports.
The secretary will arrive in Georgia from Armenia.
"In a few days I will have the chance to visit Batumi to experience the warmth of the Georgian people and reaffirm our commitment to Georgia`s future. This year marks the twentieth anniversary of U.S.-Georgian bilateral relations. Since regaining its independence, Georgia has made impressive progress fighting corruption, developing modern state institutions, and enhancing global security", the statement says.
Mrs. Clinton will hold her first meeting during the visit in Batumi on June 5, 2012.
