Public service held for Georgian soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Public service for three Georgian military servicemen, who were killed in a combined attack in Afghanistan three days ago started at Kashveti Church of Tbilisi at 19:00 p.m. today.

Defence Minister visited Vaziani military base

Minister of Defence of Georgia Irakli Alasania visited IV Infantry Brigade in Vaziani today. The three soldiers, who were killed in a terror exlposion in Afghanistan on Monday, served in 42nd Battalion of this Brigade. The military held a moment of silence in respect of the memory of Georgian heroes.  

National flag lowered at CoE Georgian office

National flag of Georgia was lowered at Georgia`s office of the Council of Europe on the day, when the nation mourns the death of three Georgian soldiers in Afghanistan. Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze attended the ceremony.
